Low income homeowners, 65 and older, Widows or widowers 50 and over whose spouse was 65 or older may qualify. Income guidelines are the same as for PACE ($14,000 individual and $17,200 for married couple). You need not reapply once qualified, if circumstances do not change. Each tax bill will include an application, guidelines and information on how to apply. (Applications should be available last week of November –no information will be given prior to this time)

You can now deduct 50% of the Social Security SSI or Railroad Retirement benefits from your income. The rebate program refunds a percentage of Property tax or rental payments to people 65 or over, widows and widowers 50 or over and disabled persons 18 to 64. Total annual income for a married couple must be less than $17,200 and single individual $15,000.

Claims must be filed by June 30th of each year. Applications will be available around February 1st.
